Skip Gilbert is the CEO of US Youth Soccer. With over 2.6 million registered players, USYS is the largest youth sport organization in the country.
Using the broad reach of their 55 State Association, USYS is able to embrace its vision to bring communities together through the power of soccer, making lifelong fans of the sport.
Gilbert has served in leadership roles with a number of Olympic organizations over the course of his career including the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the United States Tennis Association (USTA), USA Triathlon, USA Swimming and US Soccer. He was also elected Chairman of both the National Governing Bodies Council (NGBC) and the Association for Chief Executives of Sport (ACES).
Mr. Gilbert’s passion for sport extends beyond his professional experience, as Gilbert played soccer for the Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL, US Olympic Development Team, and trained with Sheffield United and other clubs in Holland, and Hong Kong. He is a licensed soccer coach and member of the University of Vermont and the Lawrenceville School Athletic Hall of Fame. Gilbert and his wife Jenifer have three children and live in McKinney, Texas.
